For over 60-years, Open Doors has supported and strengthened Christians around the world who are persecuted for their faith. Open Doors is an on-the-ground ministry with a presence in over 50 countries where persecution is the most severe. Open Doors USA raises awareness, support and funds for a variety of programs including Bible distribution, discipleship training, job training, literacy training, safe houses, micro-loans, emergency aid and much more.
What you will be doing:
As a key supporting member of our data team, this role will assist in the data needs of an aggressively growing, faith-based, non-profit organization. The early stages of this role will consist of data processing, data clean-up, maintaining all types of constituent and marketing data in multiple sources. Once the bulk of the clean-up is completed, more tasks will be added in this department cross-functional support role. This role works out of our Santa Ana, CA office.
Basic Responsibilities for This Role:
Support and maintain data accurately and completely in all current business sources.
Research, assess and correct data, including duplicate resolution and missing information research.
Enter, verify, and correct participant information into centralized database; conduct regular audits to assure accuracy of data.
Deliver high quality data to inform business processes and strategic decisions.
Adapt to changes in data structure, data flow and business processes in response to new initiatives.
Communicate data-related problems and issues promptly.
Work closely with staff to resolve problems.
Apply excellent work ethic and teamwork to achieve the goal of delivering data, structured for opportunity to a high-performing, motivated organization.
Christ follower, with a passion to serve persecuted Christians.
2+ years working with data as a primary responsibility.
Accurate and detailed-oriented.
Critical thinker with the ability to deep dive and focus while maintaining flexibility.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment and have sound judgment.
General understanding of data systems, usage and impact.
Self-starter who is highly motivated and works well with others.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Desire to grow and capacity to learn.
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.
Intermediate or better Excel skills a plus.
Experience with The Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online, MailChimp, Salesforce for NonProfits a plus.
