I am a 38 year old Christian male who just moved back to the Orange County area after graduating from seminary in San Diego.
By God's grace, I was given a great new teaching job at a private school in Laguna Woods and am looking for an affordable place to live. It's a private school, so unfortunately I cannot afford too much at the time but I may be looking for a supplementary job to make things a little less tight.
What I need:
--Unfurnished (I have my own bed, bookshelves, desk and drawers and prefer to use my own stuff). I would need at least 120 sq. ft. to fit everything.
--Kitchen access and space in fridge and pantry for food. I don't cook a lot and when I do, I clean up after myself.
--Clean, quiet and peaceful. I am a teacher, so I will need a quiet, peaceful place to rest my head. So I prefer not to live in a house with small kids or loud pets.
--Someone who also runs a bit hot and runs the AC regularly. I don't sleep well or feel well in houses that are warm and do not cool off. If someone has a similar body temp and needs cool air like I do, it'll make for a better fit.
Here's a little bit about me:
I recently graduated from Westminster Seminary California in Escondido with my MA in Theological Studies. I love theology and the Bible. I also love cultural things like literature and history. I'm a big fan of film and well-written TV and love to write commentaries on good art. Prior to attending seminary, I graduated from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia in 2008 and majored in Philosophy. You can say that I love to read and learn and am happy to have the dream job to teach all of my favorite subjects to young Christians. In between, I studied improvisational comedy and learned tools that help me think quickly on my feet and find humor in life. I'm passionate about making people laugh and helping Christians know what they believe and why they believe it.
While I am not a big drinker at all, I do enjoy red wine and craft beers. So, if you are in recovery or do not partake, I probably wouldn't be a good fit.
I can afford $700/mo. including utilities. If any of that sounds acceptable, I can be reached at 949-606-4375. A glowing reference from my previous landlord and a deposit can be provided, if needed.
