Broadcast Audio Engineer who captures and create an incredible audio experience for Shepherd’s Grove Church, the Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller television programs, web and miscellaneous video programming. Emphasis will be in weekly broadcast mix of music and speaking messages.
Overall Job Description:
Weekly mix, capture, sweeten, and produce audio for Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller along with the other audio content being put out by the ministry through video. Work will begin on Sundays during worship, continue with the sweetening of the weekly program Sunday afternoon into Monday. Final sweetening for Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller television programming is completed by Tuesday evening. This position will also be responsible for the audio content utilized by the short form production team for Shepherd’s Grove/Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller.
Abilities and skills
Must have experience in successfully mixing, editing, capturing and sweetening multiple types of audio including classical, modern, orchestral, choral, and spoken word.
Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects from start to finish.
Must be innovative and create new ideas.
Must be able to work with others in a positive manner.
Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be willing and able to learn new technology and techniques as needed.
Excellent hearing and manual dexterity.
Must be able to have attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller production teams to ensure the highest quality audio is broadcast on all platforms.
Help set up and tear down for all services on Sunday mornings.
Perform post-production audio tasks including editing, mixing, syncing, and delivering to both long-form and short-form production teams.
Analyze viewer experience and impact of audio experience to all video production.
Create and maintain audio libraries.
Resolve technical issues as they arise.
Other duties as needed.
High school diploma; Degree in audio/audio engineering or related field is a plus.
Proven experience as an audio engineer.
Experience with audio editing and recording equipment.
Required understanding of audio equipment/technology best practices.
High-level knowledge of recording software and hardware (Pro Tools)
Experience with Mac computers.
Ability to exercise discernment and take initiative between projects.
